In a few hours, Apple will unveil their new products and, without a doubt, the new iPhones and a revamped Apple TV will take center stage. However, despite the attention on the two gadgets, iPad is not going to be completely ignored. Though iPad sales have been trending downward for quite some time, Apple remains committed to the tablet space and will reportedly unveil two new iPad models to help round out a robust product lineup this fall.
In addition to an iPad Mini 4, it is widely believed that Apple on 9 September will finally introduce the highly anticipated iPad Pro, a gargantuan tablet with a 12.9-inch display. Ahead of Apple's media event, Mark Gurman of 9to5Mac on 7 September relayed a number of new details surrounding Apple’s tablet plans.
First up, everyone might have to wait a while to get their hands on the iPad Pro. Apple has reportedly encountered a few seemingly minor production issues and, as a result, they have pushed back the iPad Pro’s anticipated release date. This of course has become par for the course for new Apple products, so this should not come as much of a surprise to many.
As far as a release date goes, Apple is hoping to begin shipping the device in late November but it remains to be seen if they’ll be able to get it ready for a primetime release before the busy holiday shopping season.
As for other details, the base model iPad Pro will reportedly ship with 64GB of storage (it is a pro device, after all), will feature LTE support options, and will come in three traditional iPhone colors; gold, silver, and space grey. Price wise, a fully souped up iPad Pro may cost as much as a MacBook, which is to say in the US$ 1,200 range.
The most interesting new detail about Apple’s iPad plans, though, is that the company will not be bundling a touch sensitive stylus or keyboard with the device.

"Lastly, we’re told that Apple has decided not to bundle the iPad Pro with either the new Force Touch-integrated iPad stylus or keyboard. These accessories will be sold separately. We’re told Apple has developed two versions of an iPad Pro keyboard attachment: one that doubles as a case and another that is more similar to the Apple Wireless Keyboard it has previously sold for Macs and iPads. It remains to be seen whether Apple announces one or both on Wednesday."As a final point of interest, the report adds that the screen on Apple's massive new iPad will be big enough as to allow it to run "two full-sized portrait iPad apps" side by side.
