"Enough is enough."

This is what news anchor and TV host Paolo Bediones must have thought when he asked the Philippine National Police’s (PNP) Anti Cybercrime Division to stop his alleged sex video from spreading further.

Days after the clip went viral, Bediones posted the following on his Instagram page: "At the PNP-Anti Cybercrime Division. Investigation has begun. Please help me put a stop to this. Thank you." The post came with a photo of a document which seems to show attempts that he's being blackmailed.

It message reads, "Hawak ko ngayon ang mga sex videos mo. Madali naman akong kausap! Kung ayaw mong lumabas ito sa publiko, tawagan mo ako. Antayin ko ang tawag mo! Wag mo patagalin mainipin ako."

A few days ago, Bediones became an instant trending topic in social networking sites after a 6-minute sex video spread. It is not clear who posted the video or when it was taken.

However, last week, reporter Alex Brosas of tabloid Bandera noted that there were industry rumors that Bediones had a video that was making the rounds online.

Earlier, aspiring model-actress China Roces, who has appeared in a men’s magazine, and former stewardess Helen Grace Garbo Gonzales both said they were not the woman in the video which was reportedly filmed years ago.

Meanwhile, life goes on for Paolo, who continued his work as newscaster of "Aksyon Tonite."

"Getting ready for Aksyon Tonite. I am truly blessed to have a family like mine. Solid friends around me and supporters who are there no matter what. Overwhelming love. Life goes on. On air in a bit," Paolo posted on Monday, 28 July 2014.

He and TV5 did not confirm the sex scandal allegations, but the newscaster has the network’s support.
