Asia Pacific's Women Bazaar

The AP-NGO Forum on Beijing+15 is just a few days away. Women in the region are well underway with preparations—developing national reports, preparing workshops for the forum, looking for funding, etc. But we’re not all work and no play. Preparations are also underway for an International Bazaar during the days of the Forum at the Miriam College Grade School MMJ Court.

Booths from the various regions in the Philippines will feature products made by women such as: natural pearl accessories; jewelry crafted from polished coconut shells and semi-precious stones; woven baskets and fabrics; bags and slippers made from water-lilies; organic beauty products made from tropical fruits; local delicacies and preserves, just to name a few.

This bazaar on 22-25 October 2009, will also showcase products from your countries and make them available to an international community. Please bring beautiful crafts, spices, jams, textiles, jewelry, art, clothes and accessories that other women will want to purchase. For all registered participants of the AP-NGO Forum, a booth will be made available at no extra cost and the organizers will help staff the booth so that participants will be free to participate in the various Forum workshops and activities.
